How Hugin works.
Everything you need to know to rate AI answers, earn USDG and get paid. Short version: connect a wallet, pick the better answer, withdraw.
Why Hugin
AI models learn what a good answer looks like from people who compare answers and say which one is better. The big AI labs already pay for that work, but it happens behind closed doors, through agencies, applications and identity checks.
Hugin opens it up. Anyone with a wallet can rate answers and get paid for every pick the majority agrees with. The ratings are used to develop our upcoming AI, Hugin, an assistant trained on what real people judged to be the better answer.

Getting started
- Open huginwork.com/app.
- Click Connect wallet. Any browser wallet works, such as MetaMask or Rabby. The app adds Robinhood Chain to your wallet if it isn't there yet.
- Sign the sign-in message. It is not a transaction and costs nothing. It only proves the wallet is yours.
- Start rating. Your earnings go to the wallet you signed in with.
How to rate
Each task shows a question someone might ask an AI, and two answers from different AI models. Pick the one that is better. Press A or B on your keyboard, or tap the button.
What “better” means
- Correct first. An answer with a wrong fact loses to a plainer answer that is right.
- Then helpful. Does it actually answer what was asked?
- Then clear. Easy to follow beats long and padded.
- If both are weak, pick the less bad one.
Read both answers before you choose. Answers given faster than a few seconds after the task appears are refused.
Earning
Every pair is rated by three people who can't see each other's picks. When the third pick is in, the majority decides which answer wins. Everyone who picked the winner earns $0.01 in USDG. Picks that don't match the majority earn nothing for that pair, and nobody loses money.
Your balance on /app grows as your pairs are decided. It can take a little while, because two other people need to rate the same pair after you.
Payouts
- Withdraw any time once your balance is $0.50 or more. The USDG is sent from the vault straight to your wallet in seconds. You can withdraw once an hour.
- Or do nothing: every night at 00:05 UTC, everyone with $0.50 or more is paid automatically in one transaction.
- You don't pay gas for payouts. Hugin covers it.
- Balances under $0.50 stay in your account and are paid once they reach $0.50.
Each payout shows up under Your payouts with a link to the transaction.
The daily pool
Each UTC day a fixed amount of the vault is released as tasks. New tasks drop every 5 minutes, up to 50 at a time. When the day's amount has been earned, tasks stop until 00:00 UTC, when a new pool opens.
The amount left today and the number of open tasks are shown live at the top of /app and on the home page. Fees are used to top up the vault, so the daily pool can grow over time.
Fair play
Some tasks are control questions with a known answer, for example a real answer next to one written for a different question. They look like any other task and appear about once every six answers. A right answer earns like any other.
A wallet that misses three or more control questions and gets more than a quarter of them wrong is removed. Its balance is forfeited and stays in the pool for everyone else.
Other limits: each wallet can answer a pair only once, and up to 300 answers a day.
The vault
All rewards are held in the Hugin vault, a smart contract on Robinhood Chain. Anyone can look up its balance and every payout.
| Network | Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663) |
| Vault contract | 0xfC7Be098e88873f08182468B0a34974c4177e863 |
| Reward token | USDG (Global Dollar) 0x5fc5360D0400a0Fd4f2af552ADD042D716F1d168 |
| Daily limit | At most $30 can leave the vault per UTC day |
The vault pays out in batches signed by Hugin's operator wallet. Only the owner wallet can take unused funds back out, and the daily limit is enforced by the contract itself, so no key can drain more than one day's limit.
Your data
Every decided pair becomes one row in a preference dataset:
- the question,
- the answer people chose and the answer it beat,
- which AI models wrote them,
- how many of the three people agreed.
The dataset never includes who rated what. Your wallet address is stored only to credit and pay you. The public feed and stats on the site show totals, never addresses.
The questions and answers are written by open AI models (currently Llama 3.1 and Mistral Small 3.1). Control questions are kept out of the dataset.

FAQ
Do I need to buy anything to start?
No. Rating is free, signing in is free, and payouts are free. You only need a wallet.
Why didn't my balance go up after I answered?
A pair is only decided when three people have rated it. Your balance goes up when the third pick comes in, if you were with the majority.
There are no tasks for me. Why?
Either you have rated every open task, or today's pool is used up. A new batch drops every 5 minutes, and the pool resets at 00:00 UTC.
Is this financial advice or an investment?
No. Hugin pays for work: rating AI answers. Nothing on Hugin is financial advice.
Where do I ask questions?
